Do you want to
enhance your writing scope? Interested in the idea behind movie making? Edward
Gunawan, a scriptwriter and also a filmmaker will help you to explore scriptwriting process and enhance your ideas
in this artsy field. You'll have writing exercises in this workshop which will be held at Bentara Budaya Jakarta. Besides,
you'll also watch several short movies and a chit chat on basic screenwriting.
Check your schedule on Saturday, September 17th from 10.00-13.00. This workshop
is open for students only and you can attend it without any fee.
A glance about the
speaker, Edward Gunawan is a reputable shortfilm maker. His work of art has
been acknowledge by international world through some international awards. As a
writer, he started his career as monolog scriptwriter. On 2008, after finished doing
filmmaking workshop at Film Independent's Project: Involve (Los Angeles, USA)
with Chris Tashima (Academy Awards winner) as his mentor, he made his
shortmovie debut with Laundromat. His other achievement in scriptwriting
including: Nona Indonesia (chosen as the Best Project at Feature Screenplay
Development Competition on the 2008 JiFFest) and Payung Merah which got Best
Asian Short Film Awards at Screen Singapore Award.
